#1 Top Wine of 2022 – Packs in generous steeped plum, boysenberry and mulberry flavors backed by a broad swath of roasted alder and bittersweet cocoa. Brimming with dense fruit and is squarely in the not-shy style. The long finish has a serious loamy tug, too. R42-6

A beautiful, brilliant garnet-red color. The nose is very pretty with woody and fruity notes. On the palate are grilled and fruity, very ripe cherry aromas. The tannins are present without being too intrusive or aggressive. An elegant wine, fine and pedigreed. Serve with with grapes, duck breast with mushrooms, roast turkey, and any games dish. SP1-2

The organic Col d’Orcia 2020 Brunello di Montalcino offers a classic Sangiovese bouquet with warm-vintage intensity. It shows sweet aromas of raspberry tart and cooked cherry. There is a delicate element of smoked spice at the back. The tannins are open-knit, and the wine offers immediate drinking pleasure. • Faiveley 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru

    $249.99

    Burgundy France
    Decanter Magazine 96 Rating
The wine has an inky dark color and pronounced aromas of blackberry, fig, smoke and spice. The texture is lush, yet there are firm tannins and the wine never seems overbearing or aggressive – everything is kept in elegant balance. Faiveley is the proprietor of three parcels that total 1.27ha in the Clos de Vougeot, including a portion in Grand Maupertuis and two parcels nearer the bottom. The fruit was picked very ripe (14.5%) and partially destemmed before fermentation, with a very careful extraction and ageing in cask (half new). SPBX-6
