The coppery-hued 2022 Les Cassagnes de la Nerthe Cotes du Rhone Rose features easygoing notes of ripe melon, plus hints of peaches and red berries. Medium-bodied, it's plump and nicely rounded without being overly broad, remaining clean, refreshing and harmonious on the finish.

Nickel & Nickel 2019 DeCarle Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
$99.99Rutherford Napa Valley California
Our 2019 DeCarle Vineyard Cabernet presents a harmonious blend of dark fruit and woody aromas. On the palate, black and blue fruit notes are complemented by touches of oak and barrel spice that give this wine an intriguing complexity that begs for a second sip. Exceptionally well-balanced, this wine’s lifted acidity persists all the way through the finish. BX-6 -

Domaine du Pegau 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee da Capo
$299.99
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Da Capo is smoking good. Blackcurrants, lavender, garrigue, violets, cured meats and saddle leather all flow from this rich, unctuous, incredibly decadent 2015 that has sweet tannin, a huge mid-palate, and more concentration than just about every other wine in the vintage. -
Domaine de La Charbonnière 2015 Vacqueyras Cuvée Spéciale
$34.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
The 2015 Vacqueyras Cuvée Spéciale is another blockbuster. Made from 100% Grenache that was 70% destemmed and aged in oak tanks, it offers terrific notes of kirsch, dried herbs, ground pepper and loads of loamy soil/sandy aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, balanced and with beautiful tannin quality, drink it anytime over the coming decade. SP36-2 -
Domaine Bernard & Thierry Glantenay 2015 Volnay Les Santenots 1er Cru
$99.99Burgundy France
Vinous 93 Rating
The 2015 Volnay 1er Cru shows a lot of reduction on the nose that makes the fruit and terroir difficult to read at the moment. The palate probably indicates the potential more than the aromatics, offering brambly red and black fruit, a sprinkle of white pepper and hints of dried orange peel toward the refined, persistent finish. This certainly requires time in bottle but the potential is here. Patience, please. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. SP1-3 -
Domaine Aurelien Verdet 2019 Hautes Cotes de Nuits Le Prieure
$49.99Côte-de-Nuits Burgundy France
Wine Advocate 92 Rating
Bursting from the glass with notes of sweet berries, petals, peonies and raw cocoa, the 2019 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Le Prieuré is medium to full-bodied, velvety and charming, with lively acids, melting tannins and a succulent, spice-inflected finish. Deeper than the 2017 and more elegant than the 2018, this gets my nod as the finest Le Prieuré of the three. SP1-4 -

Castello di Monsanto 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva
$29.99 – $150.00Tuscany Italy
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva pours a rich ruby with a saturated magenta hue. It’s a bit reserved initially but holds onto a sunny and pure profile offering layers of blackberry coulis and a touch of sunny blue fruit, along with sweet sage, rocky earth, and fresh lavender. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with balanced richness and a weightless, rounded feel with sweet tannins and notes of pure black tea on the finish. It handles this warm vintage with a graceful feel, and although it might not be the longest-lived of these wines, I wouldn’t be surprised to find it showing beautifully in 15 or more years. Drink 2025-2040.
