La Storia Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 “Not yet bottled and a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and the rest Malbec and Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon La Storia has attractive black and blue fruits as well as medium to full body, a ripe yet pure and fresh style, ripe tannins, and solid length on the finish. I love its fruit, it has classic tobacco and cedar nuances, and it should be an impressive Cabernet as well as a good value.

Sarah Marquis has crafted an intense, dark-fruited Shiraz with spice, black pepper, and a hint of bacon. This is not a sideshow wine: Thanks to its lively and energetic notes of blackberry and plum, it’s more like a bustling carnival that pleases all of the senses.

The incredible value 2018 La Tremenda is pure Monastrell from 26-year-old vines on sandy and silt soils covered with rolling stones. It fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak barrels for six months. It's a more delicate expression of Monastrell, with good balance, quite transparent; it was easy, and the wines have very good freshness, with less concentration but terrific balance and definition, quite fruit-driven but with complexity and depth. It's approachable, really good for an entry level and amazing for the price. This is really impressive. An honest Monastrell.

A deep, quite herbal expression, with liquorice and crushed blueberries to the cassis fruit. Full-bodied, powerfully fruited, dense and deep. Really mouthcoating, intense fruit. The tannins are ripe, fine and plentiful, all saturated in blackberry juice on a long finish. Certainly, one of the more successful Châteauneufs this year. Will age well. A Mourvèdre-led expression of Beaucastel – it contains more than usual, at least 35% and probably more. Grenache and Cinsault fermented in cement, Syrah and Mourvèdre fermented in foudre SPBX-6

  • John Anthony 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $79.99$360.00

    Wine Spectator 93 Rating
Really ripe and takes an exotic bent, with a mix of loganberry, mulberry and boysenberry fruit compote flavors infused liberally with licorice snap and wood spice accents. Shows lots of apple wood and mesquite through the finish, which is carried by a tarry spine. Showy and pulls it off. Best from 2023 through 2035. 2,391 cases made.

Dark in color. Soft, juicy, velvety tannins. An approachable and well-balanced vintage of Coudoulet that should age well thanks to its tannic finesse, acidity and freshness. Though it is quite a tannic vintage, so give it some time.

A big, meaty, mineral-laced Syrah, the dense purple-hued 2020 Cotes Catalanes Secret De Schistes offers up a great nose of blackberries, roasted herbs, chocolate, and graphite that develops more meaty and leather notes with time in the glass. Full-bodied, concentrated, and rich, it hits the palate with a soft, supple, seamless mouthfeel, impressive tannins, and a great finish.

    Tuscany Italy
The Barbanera Chieteno pays homage to Tuscan traditions. The exceptional talent captivates the connoisseur with its soft and supple texture. Its taste scores with juicy aromas of cherry, forest berry and some vanilla. The balsamic sounds blend perfectly with the vanilla. A true spectacle is also the dense and deep red color, which gently transforms into the violet. A unique taste experience awaits you.
