Rudd 2014 Samantha’s Cabernet Sauvignon
$169.99Oakville Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
Coming all from estate fruit and made from 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc and the rest Malbec and Petit Verdot, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Samantha's Estate is a charming, ripe, sexy beauty that's loaded with notions of blackcurrants, spicy oak, and lead pencil-like aromas and flavors. Ripe, opulent, and much more forward and sexy than the Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, drink it over the coming 15-20 years. R46-5 -

This is a spicy, sublime and expansive wine, full bodied no doubt, yet brimming in freshness and complexity. It is red-fruit driven and dazzles in white and black pepper, accented by dashes of cinnamon and nutmeg. It has a long-lasting texture and richness. SP16-2 -
Harlan Estate 2018 Bordeaux Blend
$1,600.00Oakville Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
Stunning on every level, the 2018 Proprietary Red Wine reveals a dense purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of crème de cassis, graphite, crushed stone, iron, violets, and tobacco. Reminding me of a hypothetical blend of Ducru Beaucaillou and Pontet Canet from a great, classical vintage (or a more elegant version of the 2013 for simplicity), it's medium to full-bodied, perfectly balanced, powerful yet elegant, and has a finish that won't quit. This is pure gold in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s already drinkable yet will benefit from 4-6 years of bottle age and have 40 years of prime drinking. SPBX-3 -

Enjoyabilityfactor 95 Rating
The 2020 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Gevrey-Chambertin is a captivating red wine that exudes the essence of its prestigious terroir. Upon first encounter, the nose is greeted by a harmonious blend of red and dark fruits, with ripe cherries and blackberries taking the lead, intertwined with subtle hints of dried herbs and a delicate floral undertone. As the wine graces the palate, its velvety texture envelops the senses, offering a symphony of flavors that mirror the aromas. The fruit character deepens and expands, revealing layers of raspberry, plum, and a touch of cranberry, all underscored by a subtle thread of earthiness that speaks to the wine's origins. The well-integrated tannins provide an elegant structure that supports the wine's profile without overpowering it, leading to a graceful and enduring finish. A judicious touch of oak adds a gentle layer of complexity, infusing hints of spice and vanilla that harmonize seamlessly with the fruit. The 2020 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Gevrey-Chambertin captures the essence of the vintage and the terroir, embodying the perfect balance between fruit expression, elegance, and depth. Whether savored on its own or paired with a range of culinary delights, this Gevrey-Chambertin is a true testament to Burgundy's winemaking heritage and will undoubtedly evolve beautifully with time. The wines of Gérard Raphet are a Burgundy lover’s Burgundy. While the wine’s color in the glass is a delicate ruby, aromas and flavors surprise with their forceful intensity. Frederic Magnien 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes
$94.99Cote de Nuits Cote d'Or Burgundy France
Burghound.com 91 Rating
There is enough reduction present to blur the underlying fruit. More interesting are the sleek, intense and delicious middle weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality onto the lingering and moderately refined finale. This is a quality Chambolle villages and worth checking out. SP3-1 -
Domaine Serene 2018 Evenstad Reserve Chardonnay
$69.99Willamette Valley Oregon
James Suckling 96 Rating
Impressive complexity and poise from the outset with aromas of sliced peach and nectarine, as well as pear and honeydew. Some wet stones, too. The palate has impressive fluidity with intense, fleshy pears and white peaches, threaded with a savory, toasted-hazelnut edge. Drink or hold. SPA10-1 -
Domaine Saint-Damien 2017 “Cuvée Clovis Saurel” Gigondas
$59.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
Another remarkable effort is the 2017 Gigondas Clovis Saurel, which is a single vineyard cuvée made from 100% Grenache. Rock star notes of kirsch and mulled dark fruits are intermixed with lots of sappy flowers and incense aromas and flavors. It's deep and full-bodied, with a wonderful sense of elegance and purity and ultra-fine tannins. It's going to benefit from a year or three of bottle age and cruise in cool cellars for 10-15 years. Domaine Pierre Labet 2017 Beaune Clos du dessus des Marconnets Rouge
$89.99Burgundy France
Wine Spectator 93 Rating
Leafy underbrush, sandalwood and incense aromas and flavors augment the cherry and plum fruit in this rich, robust red. A finely-meshed matrix of tannins lays the groundwork, while the finish is long and complex, echoing spice and woodsy elements. Best from 2023 through 2038. SP3-5
