Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron 2018 Pauillac
$249.99Bordeaux France
Wine Enthusiast 100 Rating
This great estate in southern Pauillac, facing the Latour vineyard, is at the top of its game. In this release, the tannins are as impressive and dense as the black fruits. Together they form a harmonious ensemble, richly structured, concentrated from the many old vines in the blend, and very ageworthy. *Cellar Selection* SP56-4 -
Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron 2020 Pauillac
$224.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The flagship 2020 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron is pure gold, a full-bodied, rich, powerful 2020 displaying the vintage’s purity, focus, and structure front and center. A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot, its dense purple hue is followed by a mammoth-sized bouquet of cassis, blackberries, smoked earth, graphite, and cedar pencil. With ripe tannins, a seamless, layered mouthfeel, and one heck of a finish, it comes closest in my mind to the estate 2010, and I think is clearly in the same realm as the 1989, 1990, 2000, 2009, 2010, 2015, and 2019. Chateau Pontet Canet 2020 Pauillac
$149.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
The flagship from this estate, the 2020 Château Pontet-Canet is a beauty based on 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 4% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, brought up in 50% new oak, with 35% in amphora. Deep purple-hued with a great nose of dark currants, plums, tobacco leaf, and truffly earth, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a layered, seamless mouthfeel and a great finish. The higher Merlot content here really shows in its overall sexy, supple, seamless style, and while this already offers pleasure, it’s going to be one for the ages as well. Rating: 97+ SPBX-6 -
Chateau Prignac 2019 Red Blend
Price range: $15.99 through $156.00Bordeaux France
Very beautiful color, steady and deep. A first intense nose of soaked red berries reveals then some spicy notes of clove. The attack is very round. The mouth is ample, supported by very ripe tannins. It is a Medoc of character which will seduce the amateurs of traditional wines of Medoc and will also know how to draw the attention of the consumers been used to round “joy” wines. It matches perfectly on a veal stew.

Chateau Rauzan-Segla 2018 Margaux
$169.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
Reminding me of the 2016, the 2018 Château Rauzan-Segla reveals this beautifully fresh, complex bouquet that still has serious richness and depth. Based on 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, raised in 65% new barrels, it offers a dense purple hue to go with gorgeous notes of blackcurrants, spring flowers, cigar wrapper, and sandalwood. A quintessential Margaux with its spicy, complex, floral character, it's full-bodied and has a supple, elegant texture, no hard edges, a solid spine of acidity, and a great, great finish. This is a brilliant, heavenly 2018 to enjoy over the coming 30 years or more. R44-2 SP57-2
