Caterwaul 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
$59.99 – $300.00California
100% French Oak. 60% New. 20 months in Barrel. A dark, exotic Cabernet Sauvignon nearly splitting at the seams with fruit and spice notes. The wine exhibits a completely opaque dark purple hue in the glass with a violet halo. Layered aromas suggest black currant, pine bough, pencil shavings and fresh leather. The dense, concentrated palate is marked by macerated blackberry, plum reduction, baking spices, loam, cocoa nib and crushed river rock. This big, complex wine will show it’s true colors after being decanted or with a few years in the cellar.

$14.99 – $150.00Burgundy France
Wine Enthusiast 91 Rating
This wine is the unobtrusive dinner-party guest that impresses everyone without calling attention to herself. Complex, layered aromas of Gala apple, Forelle pear and dew-topped forest floor charm the nose along with the faintest hint of white tea leaf and white peach blossom. The palate is silky, luxurious, understated and draws you in.

Caymus California 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon
$39.99 – $210.00California
I feel this wine expresses the greatness of California and its hidden pockets where Cabernet can excel. The cold Pacific Ocean running the entire length of the state presents maritime influences – and with each small distance eastward the climate warms. Stony soils, south facing slopes and moderately warm conditions are the keys to producing dark, rich and good tasting Cabernet.

Caymus Suisun 2021 Grand Durif
$31.99 – $360.00Suisun Valley North Coast California
Separated from Napa by just an invisible county line, Suisun Valley (which became an AVA in 1982) is still largely undiscovered. With its warm days and cool nights, this pastoral region reminds us of Napa Valley in the 1960s. Known for delicious stone fruits and walnuts, it is also gaining recognition for exceptional wine. Durif is synonymous with Petite Sirah, the widely grown grape in the region – Caymus-Suisun added “Grand” to the name for its grand style. With harmonious tannins, this wine is opulent, luxuriously soft and totally enjoyable.

Caymus-Suisun 2023 The Walking Fool Suisun Valley
$29.99 – $150.00California
The Caymus Suisun 'The Walking Fool' offers another version of the Wagner Family's signature bold, spicy, and fruit-driven reds. Dry farmed in Napa's neighboring Suisun AVA, the Zinfandel and Petite Sirah bring a distinct sense of place to the glass, while the thoughtful cask aging imparts toasty warmth and a velvet-soft mouthfeel to the ripe tannins of this stunningly crimson and inky California classic.

Cayuse 2016 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard
$129.99Walla Walla Valley
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The 2016 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard checks in as 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier that was fermented with roughly 70-80% stems and brought up in 15% new demi-muids and foudre. This beauty has incredible elegance and purity as well as full-bodied richness, complex notes of blackberry, cherries, stone hearth, decayed flowers, and salted meats, and a savory style that’s going to benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and keep for 15 years or more. Cayuse 2017 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard
$139.99Walla Walla Valley
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
The only Syrah that includes some Viognier, the 2017 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard (this is the same site used for the Viognier) is always a great representation of the vintage as well as the wines of Christophe Baron. Ruby/purple-hued, with a rocking bouquet of black raspberries, smoked game, black pepper, and spring flowers, it has plenty of classic Rocks funkiness and meaty notes, medium to full body, a core of sweet fruit, and a great, great finish. It ranks with the top two to three wines in this vintage. It opens up nicely with time in the glass and shows well today, and it’s certainly going to cruise for 15+ years or more. R27-2
